Our Specialist Classes
We provide specialist classes within Surrey and Hampshire at local community halls and within care homes. Exercise classes can be a great way to socialise as well as exercise, our aim is to create a supportive community to share ideas and give advice.
In order to access one of our community based classes the individual will need an initial assessment at home, however we have also created a referral form for professionals should the patient wish to forgo the visit (contact us to access the form). We would recommend an initial assessment at home as it will help to introduce the patient to the concepts of the class and answer any questions they may have.
PDFit
Having completed extra training on how to deliver the PD Warrior program we have integrated the concepts into our PD Fit classes. Currently we hold these classes both online and in person and aim to create a positive community of people living with Parkinson’s. The classes are circuit based and will suit a variety of abilities, get in touch today to find the right class for you. We are fortunate enough to work with PDUK to provide subsidised classes for members of the Guildford and Waverley Branch.
NFit
Our NFit classes are aimed at those living with neurological conditions. The classes are circuit based and aimed at being Neuroactive and we work to promote positive changes in the neurological system through short bursts of intensive exercise. Our exercises are all tailored to the individual, and whilst we aim to be intensive we realise this means different things to different people and encourage participants to take things at their own pace.
Stay Fit
We also run classes aimed specifically at the elderly community, we realise the importance of exercise but also creating an opportunity to socialise and meet others. Our class will be tailored at a pace to suit the group’s ability, with varied exercises and a focus on strengthening and balance work.
Classes In Care Facilities
Exercises classes in care facilities can vary greatly, from seated classes for those less able to standing balance classes for those who are up on their feet. Exercises classes can really bring together your residents and bring about positive changes in strength and mobility. We can tailor classes specific to your residents, get in touch with us to discuss your needs.
