As we get older there are a number of reasons you might want to access a physiotherapist for either yourself or a family member. The most common reason we experience is a change in mobility due to illness or a fall. We know that being in hospital or bed for a long period can have a negative impact on your overall health and can leave you feeling under confident and dependent on other people. Our role is to help you build that confidence and strength in a safe way to allow you to return to the quality of life you are used to.
We will work alongside your family members or carers to help you exercise regularly, movement is often the best medicine! After a detailed assessment we can discuss your goals and treatment plan and how frequently you may want us to visit, this often depends on how diligent you are with your exercises and whether you need support/encouragement to complete them.
